Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Kigali – Orugano Lodge & Kahurire Trail
You will be picked up from Kigali and transferred to Orugano Lodge. Upon arrival, settle in and relax before enjoying a guided walk along the Kahurire Trail, offering scenic forest views and a peaceful nature experience. Return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 2: Gorilla Tracking & Community Tour
After an early breakfast, proceed to the park headquarters for a briefing before starting your gorilla tracking experience. Trek through the forest with professional guides and enjoy a magical hour with a gorilla family in their natural habitat. In the evening, enjoy a community tour to unwind and learn about local life.

Day 3: Lake Mutanda & Batwa Cultural Experience
After breakfast, head to Lake Mutanda for a scenic canoeing experience. Enjoy beautiful views of the Virunga Volcanoes and visit the historic Punishment Islands while learning about the area’s past. Later, take part in a Batwa cultural immersion experience and other local activities, gaining insight into the traditions and lifestyle of one of Uganda’s oldest communities.

Day 4: Transfer to Kigali – Departure
After breakfast, check out and begin your transfer back to Kigali, Rwanda. You will be dropped off at your hotel or at Kigali International Airport for your onward international flight, marking the end of your safari.
