Orugano Safaris is a premier tour company, specializing in crafting bespoke, private, and group tours that deliver unforgettable experiences in Uganda and Rwanda. Our name, Orugano, means “bamboo” in the local language, which is a favorite food of the mountain gorillas we are committed to protecting. Located in Nkuringo Sector of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in Kisoro, we are experts in organizing gorilla trekking and other safari tours in Uganda and Rwanda.
Our charming lodge, Orugano Bwindi Lodge, is also located at the gateway to the gorilla trekking base, offering a perfect blend of comfort and nature. As a registered and licensed tour company authorized by the Ugandan government, we ensure that all our operations fully comply with local laws and regulations.

Bob Kabaziguruka
Bob, a founding member, brings decades of tourism experience. He’s passionate about Bakiga culture, native medicine, and traditions, and loves sharing them with others. A proud “YouTube University” graduate, Bob enjoys cooking global dishes. With his cheffing team, he delivers culinary excellence. His top Africa travel tips: try local food, talk to locals, and ask about their lives—it makes the journey richer.
Kabuye Richard
Kabuye is a graduate in construction management from university of…in kiev where he spent over 10 years. He has extensive experience in the hospitality sector both in Ukraine and Uganda. Having travelled extensivenly in the region, he is fluent in rusiian, ukranian and several other languages of the region. His favourate animal is the shoebill stork found in mabamba swamp because he says, its.
Kirabo Abgail
Kirabo means “gift,” and she is the youngest member of the team. She is a talented marketer and tour guide, available in May, August, December, and January. Kirabo loves nature and believes Orugano has the best view in the world. She enjoys tracking chameleons and visiting Suma Waterfalls. She speaks English and Swahili, and is excitedly learning more languages on Duolingo every day.
