Gorilla Permits Are Limited Every Day

Only a small number of permits are issued for each gorilla family. Popular travel months often sell out 6–12 months in advance. Uganda gorilla trekking permits are US$800 for foreign non-residents. A UWA low-season promotional rate of US$600 applies for May and November, subject to permit availability and UWA terms.

I truly cannot recommend this experience and lodge enough - 100/10! From the very beginning, Bob was incredibly helpful in planning my trip to Bwindi and beyond. I knew I wanted to do gorilla trekking, and he not only secured my permits but also suggested other unforgettable activities like chimpanzee tracking, lion tracking, and a boat tour to see hippos. What a special place! We stayed at Orugano for two nights on our honeymoon and loved every minute. Bob helped us arrange everything before we arrived including gorilla trekking, golden monkey trekking and our very helpful driver/guide Duncan who safely got us from Kigali to Bwindi and back. The lodge is beautiful - stunning views, fantastic friendly staff and many thoughtful touches (like flowers on the bed for arrival, hot water bottles for turn down). The lodge is a 5minute drive from the briefing centre and just perfect!
