Overview
Your 13 Days Rwanda and Uganda Safari & Cultural expedition begins in Kigali, Rwanda, where you’ll visit the Kigali Genocide Memorial and Nyamirambo Women’s Center. Next, you’ll travel to Volcanoes National Park to explore the Ellen DeGeneres Campus. After crossing the border into Uganda, you’ll head to Bwindi, one of Africa’s most stunning destinations. There, you’ll embark on a thrilling gorilla trekking experience and immerse yourself in a variety of activities in and around Bwindi Impenetrable Forest.
Your journey continues in Buhoma, located on the northern edge of Bwindi’s rainforest, where you’ll take part in a dance workshop and cooking class led by a local women’s group.
In Queen Elizabeth National Park, you’ll enjoy an unforgettable boat safari and a thrilling game drive, along with a visit to the Kyambura Women’s Coffee Cooperative. Next, in Kibale Forest, you’ll go chimpanzee trekking and walk in Bigodi Swamp to spot a variety of monkeys and bird species. The trip culminates in Uganda’s vibrant capital, Kampala, where you’ll explore the Uganda Museum, the Buganda Kingdom, and the historic Kasubi Tombs. The adventure ends with an evening at the Ndere Cultural Center, where the Ndere Troupe will mesmerize you with traditional music, captivating dances, and vibrant costumes, showcasing Uganda’s rich cultural heritage along with influences from across Africa.
