Day By Day Program
Our adventure kicks off at 8 am when your professional driver-guide will pick you up from your hotel in Entebbe or Kampala. After a quick tour briefing, you’ll embark on a drive of about 170 km (2.5 to 3 hours) northwest to Ziwa Rhino & Wildlife Ranch. This is the only place in Uganda where you can see wild rhinos. Rhinos disappeared from Uganda in the early 1980s, but thanks to Ziwa’s efforts, it is now a thriving breeding ground for white rhinos. During our 2-hour visit, we’ll track these magnificent creatures on foot with a local expert ranger, learning about their fascinating behavior up close. Afterward, we’ll enjoy a delicious lunch at the sanctuary before continuing our journey to Murchison Falls National Park, about 120 kilometers (3 hours) away. This park, Uganda’s largest, lies on the shores of Lake Albert, where the mighty River Nile surges through a narrow gap, creating the breathtaking Murchison Falls – the world’s most powerful waterfall.
- Dinner and overnight at Murchison River Lodge.
- For upgrade you can stay at Paraa Safari Lodge.
After an early breakfast, we’ll head out for a half-day game drive on the northern bank of the Nile. Here, you can spot elephants, leopards, Rothschild giraffes, Jackson hartebeests, lions, oribis, waterbucks, and many savannah and woodland birds. After lunch, we’ll enjoy a relaxing 3-hour Nile cruise, getting a close-up view of the wildlife. You’ll see hippos bathing, elephants drinking, and crocodiles lounging on the shores. The cruise will take us to the base of the falls, where you can see the powerful spray and hear the thunderous roar of the water as it plunges down.
- Overnight at Murchison River Lodge.

After a tasty breakfast, we’ll visit the top of the Murchison Falls, where you’ll be amazed by the power of the mighty Nile. The Nile River which is about 50 meters wide crashes through a narrow 8-meter gap, plunging 45 meters in a series of impressive cascades. You can view the falls from several scenic spots, making it a perfect moment for photos. After enjoying the falls, we’ll begin our journey south to Fort Portal. The drive takes about (366km) seven hours, but along the way, you'll see beautiful views of small African villages and banana plantations. We’ll arrive in Fort Portal around lunchtime. While the fort that gave the town its name no longer stands, Fort Portal is still a charming town, nestled beneath the famous Mountains of the Moon and surrounded by tea plantations. We’ll enjoy lunch at one of the best restaurants in town, then continue to our lodge near Kibale Forest, where we'll arrive in the early evening. Overnight at Chimpanzee Forest Lodge. For upgrade you can stay at Crater Safari Lodge.
Day 4 kicks off with a hearty breakfast at around 6.am before we head to Kibale Forest to track chimpanzees in their natural home. Along the way, we might spot other fascinating creatures like colobus monkeys, olive baboons, and red-tailed monkeys. The trek itself will last around 2 to 4 hours, with an hour spent observing the chimps in their wild environment. After the chimp trek, we’ll enjoy lunch before setting off on a 3-hour drive to Queen Elizabeth Park. As we travel, you’ll be treated to beautiful views of lush agricultural landscapes, villages, and the Ruwenzori. We’ll even cross the Equator! Upon entering the park, expect to see herds of Ugandan Kobs, with the chance to spot elephants and buffalo grazing in the distance. After a day full of stunning sights, we’ll check into our lodge, unwind, and prepare for the exciting game drives the following day.

In the afternoon, we enjoy a 2-hour boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel, a natural waterway that connects Lake Rutanzige (Lake Edward) and Lake Katunguru (Lake George). After Ishasha, we’ll continue on a beautiful drive through rolling hills and terraced fields before arriving at Orugano Lodge, where you’ll stay for the next few nights.
Step into the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest with expert guides for a once-in-a-lifetime experience: Gorilla Trekking. Walk through the dense rainforest, following signs of these gentle giants, and get the chance to meet their curious eyes from a respectful distance. Watch the gorilla family interact and go about their daily lives, marveling at the rare opportunity to see their world up close. Be prepared for a trek of 2 to 7 hours through steep, muddy terrain, and possibly rain, before you encounter the gorillas. For conservation reasons, you'll spend only one hour with them. Your guide will also give you important tips on how to behave around these amazing creatures. Overnight at Orugano Lodge
Today offers a special chance to trek the endangered golden monkeys in Mgahinga Gorilla National Park, or you can spend the morning exploring the local communities. You can choose to visit the Batwa community to learn about their unique way of life or go on a hike to Sabyinyo Volcano. Other activities include canoeing at Lake Mutanda or a nature in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. After the morning's activities, we’ll drive to drive back to Orugano Lodge for relaxation. Overnight at Orugano Lodge
Today, you’ll travel from Bwindi to Lake Mburo National Park. Upon arrival at Lake Mburo, you can choose to take an afternoon boat cruise to spot wildlife or enjoy a night game drive. Overnight at Rwakobo Safari Lodge. For upgrade you can stay at Mihingo Lodge.
We’ll start the day early with a guided nature walk by a ranger. Lake Mburo is one of the few savannah parks in Uganda where you can enjoy a safari on foot. After breakfast, we’ll drive back to Entebbe, stopping at the equator for photos, coffee, or some shopping for local crafts. We’ll arrive in Entebbe late in the afternoon.
