After one final, delicious breakfast in Bwindi, you’ll set off for Kisoro Airstrip to catch your flight back to Entebbe Airport, followed by your onward flight to Kilimanjaro International Airport in Tanzania. Upon arrival, an Orugano Safaris representative will be waiting to warmly welcome you. You’ll be provided with a comfortable, air-conditioned vehicle, bottled water, and a refreshing cool towel for the journey ahead. The transfer to your accommodation—either Kahawa House or Katambuga House—takes about 90 minutes. Along the way, enjoy lively conversation with your driver and take in the colorful sights of Arusha, a vibrant town nestled at the foot of Mount Meru. Once you arrive, unwind in style. Lounge by the pool with a cold drink and a good book, or indulge in a relaxing massage to ease any travel fatigue. Dinner is a treat, with both lodges offering a variety of local and international dishes to suit every palate. After a delicious breakfast, your Orugano Safaris driver-guide will meet you to begin the next leg of your journey. Leaving Arusha behind, you'll drive west through rural towns and vibrant roadside scenes, passing bicycles stacked with bananas as you enter Mto wa Mbu. A game drive through Lake Manyara National Park offers an immediate immersion into Tanzania’s wildlife, with its alkaline lake attracting year-round birdlife, including flamingos from November to April, as well as pelicans, storks, and herons. The park’s grasslands and acacia woodlands are home to elephants, hippos, lions, giraffes, buffalo, zebras, and wildebeest. After a shaded picnic lunch, the journey continues as you ascend the Rift Valley escarpment toward Karatu, a lively town nestled near the Ngorongoro Crater. Here, you’ll stay at either Gibb’s Farm, a peaceful working farm offering fresh, homegrown cuisine, or Ngorongoro Farmhouse, set among coffee fields and ideally located near the crater’s entrance.

It’s an early start as you set out to be among the first vehicles entering the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Descending into the crater, you’ll pause for coffee and breakfast snacks before beginning your morning game drive. The Ngorongoro Crater is a truly unique safari destination, offering the chance to spot black rhino, lion, leopard, hippo, giraffe, and more—all within the vast caldera of a dormant volcano. By mid-afternoon, you’ll begin the scenic climb back up the crater wall and return to your lodge. This morning, depart for the airstrip—about a three-hour drive—before boarding your light aircraft flight to the northern Serengeti. Upon arrival, you'll be welcomed by your guide from the award-winning Sayari Camp, perfectly positioned to witness the Great Migration during select months. From this prime location, watch thousands of wildebeest thunder across the crocodile-infested Mara River and venture deeper into the wilderness to spot the region’s rich resident wildlife.
